You are in Australia and your BMW needs insurance. Let us “google” it right now. You have hundreds of search result. To be exact, searching for ‘BMW “car insurance” Australia’ resulted in some 393,000 pages on 22 March 2008! That’s a hell lot of pages. And obviously you won’t go beyond the first two pages with max 20 results.
Now let’s see, what the pages got in them
Top hit is the page from www.shannons.com.au . The SHANNONS seem to deal with car and bike insurance in Australia along with news of auctions.
The second page is also from the same site.
The third page points to www.carbroker.com.au. They are car brokers mainly selling new and old cars. However, they have links to insurance, too.
The fourth page is from the www.autobloggreen.com ; Certainly a good place for green car reviews but not for car insurance. This particular page on the search result brings you the notice of the BMW Hydrogen 7 on display in Australia. The site seems to be a blogsite on green cars.
The fifth page is for Used Cars Australia site at www.used-car.com.au . They deal mainly with selling of used cars. Not a place for insurance certainly.
After having looked into these sites, I took a break of few days. I was thinking to look into other search results afterwards, thinking the old pages would be there in the very same places or ranks.
I searched the same keywords after a few days. And to my wonder, some of the positions were changed by this time. Now, googling on 27th March 2008, I got www.motorpoint.com.au in the top ranking. The SHANNONS were degraded into the third place. The CARBROKER site got up one place and placed on the second hit. However, the AUTOBOLGGREEN and the USED-CAR site retained their fourth and fifth place respectively.
So, even if Google changes its mind, let alone us; the humble humans! No wonder, million car owners after having experienced different insurance companies for many months and years, still can not settle their minds on car insurance!
